CoRe TCR Team Golombeck & Kubinji Win 3h Eibach DNLS Race!
The fourth round of the iRacing Digital Nürburgring Langstrecken Series was on for another 3 hours race – the 3h Eibach event. CoRe SimRacing did compete with their three usual entries again. The TCR squad was run by Marius Golombeck and Patrick Kubinji, while the two GT4 Cayman squads were filled with Maxime Pauly, Pascal Stix, Baptiste Boudelier and Matti Sipilä this time.
The CoRe GT4s qualified 2nd and 8th on the grid while Marius, who was doing the hotlap in the TCR class, had to start the race from P4. Nonetheless the starting position was not an issue for Marius – advancing position for position throughout the race distance he took the lead before giving over to Patrick. A fantastic stint by him made the lead gap even bigger. After this souvereign and focused performance over the three hours distance the CoRe TCR squad won the race. On the other hand, one of the GT4 teams including Baptiste and Matti had to retire due to damage. The other CoRe GT4 car by Pascal and Maxime came home in P5. An important win and points for the TCR squad who is definitely looking forward to the next DNLS event. The complete race broadcast of this race can be found here.
