Setsaas & Jansson Qualified For PESC 2020

Two CoRe drivers in the 2020 Porsche Esports Super Cup!

The tough qualifier series for the 2020 Porsche Esports Super Cup has finally come to an end and the results are official. CoRe SimRacing drivers Sindre Setsaas and Carl Jansson made it into the list as one of the best 20 drivers in the series and are qualified for this year’s Porsche Esports Super Cup. They will compete against the best iRacing Porsche Cup drivers and race for a sweet prize pool. Sindre finished the series with a solid Top-5 result while Carl barely made it in by qualifying on 20th position on the list. Nevertheless the effort was extremely high to grab one of the highly demanded available spots. Three months of hard dedication paid off for the CoRe drivers to earn a spot on the overall 40 car sized grid.

Sindre reviewed this season saying : “I started the season quite lucky at Nürburgring, I managed to have a clean race to get the points I needed. Belle Isle and the Roval at Charlotte were my two hardest weeks which were pretty frustrating but luckily it turned around afterwards. From Week 4 onwards it just worked out for me collecting enough points in each race with the highest SOF win at Brands Hatch. Happy for Carl who thankfully also made it in.“

Carl had to say : “The season started off well with good points at Nürburgring. After that I had a really hard time getting the qualifying performance together so it was always tough to get the points I needed. Daytona was the week I managed to grab 350 points and a 3rd place after being able to qualify inside the Top 10. Unfortunately that was followed up with three hard weeks in the series from my side. I was involved in crashes followed up with another tough week in Brands Hatch. Some positives came along at Interlagos. Turning point was VIR, Silverstone and Road America were I was able to pull off some good points. I can’t thank the CoRe SimRacing guys enough for the massive support they have been giving during the qualifying series!”
